Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform essential functions of the job. Two (2) years related technical experience of continually increasing responsibility. Aerospace industry experience required.
Validates compliance with all applicable regulations. Responsible for scheduling and performing supplier audits for Gulfstream Product Support (PS)/Repair Station (RS) supplier base. Ensures audits conducted meet regulatory and company requirements. Monitors metrics to ensure the audit process is effective and efficient. Performs analysis of data to provide the organization a focused audit, based on identified deficiencies within the value stream. Ensures that effective and efficient quality audit results are communicated to Gulfstream suppliers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Provides support to Gulfstream Quality and related business units in the understanding and application of regulatory requirements and guidance material pertaining to Title 14 (CFR) Code of Federal Regulations. 2. Conducts investigations of in-service failures and premature removals. 3. Manages the quality activities of Product Support and Repair Station suppliers by scheduling system, product, and process audits. 4. Conducts supplier audits in an objective and professional manner. 5. Prepares audit reports and ensures that each finding identified has acceptable supporting objective evidence. 6. Reviews and approves all Corrective Action Plans for audit findings ensuring implementation will prevent recurrence. 7. Monitors PS suppliers quality system for effectiveness and integrity. 8. Actively identifies and completes process improvement projects related to achieving improved quality or efficiency within the PS / RS supplier audit process. 9. Coordinates activity with other business units and/or disciplines in support of audits. 10. Manages the assignment of quality requirements for products and/or articles to BOM and/or POs, and approving suppliers within the applicable computer systems. 11. Executes company policies and procedures; develops new procedures as required. 12. Identifies, analyzes, and validates quality trends based on audit results.
Additional Functions: 1. Supports Gulfstream Repair Station audits by the FAA and other Civil Aviation Authorities. 2. Supports and promotes the operating priorities as identified by the Quality leadership team. 3. Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements: 1. An Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License may be used in combination with 4 years of related experience (in addition to the experience requirements below) in lieu of the degree requirement. 2. ASQ Certification (CQE or CQA) and/or experience as a FAA airworthiness designee highly preferred. 3. Knowledge of FAA regulations and guidance material required. 4. Knowledgeable in AS9100 Standard. 5. CATIA, Corridor, and CAS experience preferred. 6. Thorough knowledge of quality policies, procedures and all related technical data required. 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 8. Proficient computer skills.
